Vilebred
Vilebred
Vilebred is a Philly-based experimental rock band, constantly churning out rich melodies, epic anthems and enough snark to make everyone a little uncomfortable. Following the footsteps of his brother Kurt Vile, Sam Vile is the musical architect that leads this circus, with influences ranging from The Violent Femmes to Radiohead. Band members include, Dug Gillan (bass/vocals) and Jeremy Dawson (Lead Guitar) of "The Nodd", Chelsea Sue Allen (keys/vocals) who is also a talented solo artist of the same name, and Will Donahue (drums/vocals) who, while members sometimes come and go, has been in the band since the very beginning.
John Galla Band
John Galla Band
The John Galla Band is an original musical collective based around the extensive songwriting catalog of Philly singer/songwriter, John Galla. Their sound deftly blends a multitude of genres into a captivating aural mosaic -- framed by dynamic rhythm, lyrical wordplay, and poignant musical expression. Featuring the impeccable talents of multifaceted performers Eric Barbuscia (guitar), Doug Gramo (drums/percussion), Gene Isayev (keys/flute/sax), Rebecca Lang Fiorentino (violin), Karen Meyers-Williamson (vocals) and Brett Reilly (bass) -- the sound of the band is an infectiously-eclectic mix of such diverse influences as the Blues, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Folk, Funk, Reggae, Gospel, New-Wave, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Bluegrass, Metal and Country.
